About the opportunity:
If you are passionate about making a difference, we are looking for a Professional Education Events Manager. The role is responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing logistics for educational and market-oriented events (e.g., medical education courses, sales training and sales meetings, trade shows, conventions) for Centinel Spine internal and external clients, including Surgeons, Allied Health Care Providers, corporate and sales employees, and sales distributors. The position reports to Executive Director, Professional Relations.
The first six (6) months of employment will be on-site at the West Chester Corporate office Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. In addition to learning the Professional Education Events Manager position, the qualified candidate will assist with office administration and some human resources activities temporarily while an employee is on leave. When the temporary office and HR assistance ends, the Professional Education Events Manager position can be performed remotely with in-office days as needed.
Where you will make an impact:
• Lead Professional Education event planning, coordination, logistics and meeting delivery.
• Coordinate creation, updating and maintenance of company-wide event calendar, and communication of plans to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate customer invitation solicitations, advanced and on-site registration, and post-event follow-up and evaluations.
• Research available venues and recommend event sites; investigate, select, negotiate and coordinate services with vendors, including catering and event support.
• Schedule and support Global webinar-based educational and training events, in partnership with US and International Professional Education and Marketing teams.
• Maintain awareness of all pertinent surgical society meetings and work with the Professional Education team, Marketing and Sales management, to coordinate logistics and meeting planning for Centinel Spine's involvement in these events.
• When necessary, assist with event booth activities at society exhibitor events including managing booth logistics, set up and take down, and coordination with Marketing and Professional Education regarding any associated side events that may take place.
• Understand and provide input to training and Medical Education work streams.
• Assist in defining business metrics and reports, relative to educational event results, provide data and input to plan.
• Support international education travel programs for US surgeons, as needed. Support logistics for international faculty involvement in US education and training programs.
• When necessary, travel to locations where education programs are being delivered and work with their professional education team to manage logistics.
What you will bring:
• Bachelor's degree required (e.g., BA, BS) or in process.
• Minimum 3-5 years' work experience. CMP certification desired.
• Experience in planning, developing and delivering quality training or educational events is required
• Experience in orthopedics, spine or other medical device industry strongly desired.
• Experience and facility with common software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and meeting scheduling programs (e.g., CVent) preferred.
• Experience in function and project-based budget development.
• Experience in working with quality system requirements desirable.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects, work with multiple colleagues, across departments, and strong, effective teams.
• Strong attention to detail and experience with data documentation program requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform independent research for all tasks.
Where you will go:
- The first six (6) months are 100% in-office Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm to temporarily assist with office and HR administration.
- Post temporary assistance, the Professional Education Events Manager role can be performed remotely with in-office days as needed.
- 10-15% travel with overnight and weekend travel.
- May include international travel. A valid passport is preferred.
