Description

As a Civil Estimator / Project Coordinator, you will provide, at a minimum, the following duties:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil, landscape, and irrigation related construction projects, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Maintain cost database utilizing recent project construction costs.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather relevant information for accurate cost estimation.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Develop bid schedule of values and pay line items to be used in obtaining construction bids and establishing construction contract values.
  • Develop scope of work and project special provisions to incorporate into construction contract documents.
  • Assist in private and public bidding processes to include coordinating advertisements, pre-bid and bid opening meetings, bid addenda, and other coordination with bidders.
  • Perform construction administrative tasks to include material submittal and shop drawing review and tracking; request for information (RFI) tracking and response coordination; and periodic on-site construction observation.
  • Utilize industry-standard scheduling software and tools to develop and track construction activities.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables, identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure project success.
  • Track and manage project budgets, expenses, and financial reports.
  • Facilitate communication between different project teams and departments to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Generate regular status reports and updates for project stakeholders.
Requirements

Education:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering; or extensive work experience in civil construction related field.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimation on projects of varying complexity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications and provide constructability and value engineering reviews.
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Proficient in construction estimation software and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Construction Management Software (Procore is preferred).
  • AutoCAD or Civil3D and AGTEK earthwork estimating software experience is preferred.
  • Current valid driver's license.


Salary Description

$85,000 - $110,000 DOE + Bonus Opportunties
