We are currently seeking a Bridge Engineer in our Jacksonville, FL office. We are a rapidly growing company with a strong industry reputation and an expanding presence in the Florida market. The Bridge Engineer will participate in the design, evaluation, inspection, rating and rehabilitation of bridges and other transportation infrastructure facilities. Additional responsibilities will include preparation of reports, contract drawings, and cost estimates as well as review of shop drawings and other construction submittals. Assist with geometric layout, construction specification development and material quantity calculations for bridges and other types of transportation structures.

We are currently seeking a Bridge Engineer in our Jacksonville, FL office. We are a rapidly growing company with a strong industry reputation and an expanding presence in the Florida market. The Bridge Engineer will participate in the design, evaluation, inspection, rating and rehabilitation of bridges and other transportation infrastructure facilities. Additional responsibilities will include preparation of reports, contract drawings, and cost estimates as well as review of shop drawings and other construction submittals. Assist with geometric layout, construction specification development and material quantity calculations for bridges and other types of transportation structures.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess the following:
- B.S.C.E degree required, M.S.C.E preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of bridge design experience
- P.E. registered in the State of Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience designing bridge projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with FDOT policies and procedures; experience with other state and local agencies in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic a plus
- Experience with Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, P3, etc.) a plus
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO bridge specifications
- Strong knowledge of FDOT specifications, policies, and procedures
- Experience with a variety of bridge design software
- Hands-on experience with MicroStation software
- Qualified NBIS Inspection Team Leader a plus
- FHWA-NHI Fracture Critical Inspection Training a plus
- Excellent reputation as an engineering professional
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
