Reporting to the Facility Manager, as a Maintenance Supervisor based in our Cincinnati site, you will implement necessary activities to support Commercial, S&T, Operations strategies and participate in the definition, development, submission and implementation of capital improvements for building utility or manufacturing processes and associated equipment.
Main responsibilities:
Strategy design and execution
- Develop the local Maintenance plan and related objectives regarding facility availability, schedule of critical maintenance activities, changes in equipment, spare parts inventory.
- Adapt and implement functional strategies locally and design and execute related tactical and operational plans.
- Lead a team of maintenance specialists which executes maintenance activities for all areas of the Edison facility.
- Apply, and update preventive maintenance plans and maintenance support to optimize reliability of the site's equipment and prevent business disruption.
- Provide input to the definition of maintenance budgets based on maintenance requirements i.e. resources, materials and duration.
- Conduct audits/inspections to ensure compliance of installations of equipment and users with EHS and QM policies.
- Identify improvements whether to correct non-compliant situations or optimize productivity.
- Manage spare parts inventory to optimize stock and dispose of obsolete materials.
- Select and manage suppliers.
- Coordinate work of suppliers, monitor their performance and escalate issues to the E&M management and Procurement for resolution.
- Provide support to engineering projects regarding operative procedures and equipment/installation trials.
- Execute the annual operating plan within approved budget.
- Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes for the local Maintenance team and validate related results.
- Work with local E&M management teams and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipeline for the function.
- Drive the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function.
- Vocational diploma in Engineering or related discipline (pre-university level).
- Plant Engineering or Maintenance certification preferred.
- 8+ years' experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in people management.
- Experience in industrialization and engineering projects including building process installation, utilities, lab equipment, and pilot plant equipment from design stage to handover.
- Good knowledge and application of project management techniques.
- Good knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools.
- Basic knowledge of process mapping and design.
