ROLE SNAPSHOT
As our Senior Proposal Specialist, you will lead and manage the proposal development process for our commercial lines of business, working closely with internal teams such as technical experts, business development/sales teams, and management to create compelling, client-focused proposals. You will review RFPs and letter proposal requests, identify key requirements, and assist in formulating comprehensive proposal strategies. You will be responsible for writing, editing, and proofreading proposal content, as well as maintaining a repository of standard content, templates, and materials. Your primary focus is submitting high-quality proposals that showcase WPS's expertise and align with client needs.
SALARY $85,000 ~ $112,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience and my fall outside of this range.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You'll coordinate the proposal process from kickoff through debrief; from small qualification packages to complex requests for proposals, you'll collaborate with our technical resources and business development experts to win work.
- You'll produce and edit proposal content and maintain project information accordingly.
- You'll think strategically and look at opportunities holistically and help craft compelling stories to win work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field required, or equivalent experience.
- 1 or more years of proposal experience in a professional environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 or more years of proposal experience for commercial, state, local, and federal customers, particularly Question and Answer style RFPs.
- Possess strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification.
- Experience with proposal best practices, including Shipley or similar methodologies.
- Experience with proposal management software (e.g., Qvidian, Responsive, Loopio, pWin.ai, or similar).
