Purpose of Position: The Purchasing Coordinator supports the purchasing department in acquiring goods and services necessary for the company's operations. This role involves managing purchase orders, vendor relationships, and inventory levels, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. This person needs to be detail oriented with great organization. This role will require proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word). Looking for a true team player with a positive attitude and willing to work and learn.

Position Tasks/Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases and contact information.
  • Coordinating with the Project Management department to review BOMS and ensure all materials are purchased for production
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Track inventory levels and assist in inventory management.
  • Prepare crates for Install team and work with shipping and receiving for hardware by job
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast needs and ensure timely procurement.
  • Review and process invoices and reconcile discrepancies with Po's
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and alternative products.
  • Assist in the evaluation of supplier performance and maintain records.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing documents and maintaining purchasing records
  • Participate in negotiations and support the Purchasing Manager in achieving cost savings
  • Keep the warehouse organized and clean
  • Ability to read and interpret a LF&MS job ticket
  • Always adhere to safety standards and protocols
  • Special projects and team assignments as required
