Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our dynamic team in the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent interventional cardiac and EP lab experience, with proficiency in catheterization procedures and EPIC charting. The position requires the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in a wide range of interventional cardiac procedures, including PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), Impella, balloon pumps, device implants, and ablations.
• Provide technical support in the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring all tools and devices are ready for use.
• Scrub in during procedures and work closely with the medical team to support the catheterization process.
• Use EPIC-Cupid for accurate patient charting and documentation during and after procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow strict safety protocols.
• Provide care to adult patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide technical support as needed.
• Be available for on-call shifts (weekdays, weekends, and holidays) as required based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification required.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in interventional cardiac and EP lab settings.
• Strong experience with scrubbing and assisting in a variety of cardiac procedures, including PCI, Impella, and device implants.
• EPIC charting experience, specifically with Cupid.
• Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and providing real-time support during invasive cardiac procedures.
• Ability to handle emergency situations with a calm and focused demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in Cardiac Interventional Technology or Electrophysiology.
• Experience in performing both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Previous experience with Impella and balloon pump technology.
