This individual contributor role focuses on enabling and growing technical field teams, including Sales Engineers and Solution Architects, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and hands-on experience to drive revenue. This position will also own the creation and maintenance of training labs, demo environments, and other technical enablement initiatives.  In this role, you will apply your technical and interpersonal expertise to empower our technical sales teams. You will develop and deliver training content, manage demo environments, and create immersive, hands-on labs to showcase our platform’s capabilities. We need a professional who can balance the technical intricacies of our products with the ability to communicate effectively across various audiences.  Key Responsibilities:Own the technical enablement roadmap: Develop and execute a plan for training technical sales roles aligned with the company’s growth strategy and product roadmap.  Create and maintain demo environments: Ensure environments are up-to-date, reliable, and tailored to effectively showcase product features.Contribute to building Demo narratives: Working with SEs and SE leadership, create strong, differentiated narratives (Demo Blocks) and use them to upskill demos across the company.  Build technical training labs: Design and deliver hands-on labs to allow Sales Engineers and Solution Architects to gain practical experience.  Develop and deliver training sessions: Craft content and deliver sessions that equip technical roles to understand and articulate our platform’s value (in person, where appropriate).  Support product launches: Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure the technical field team is prepared for new product releases.  Evaluate and iterate enablement initiatives: Gather feedback from the field to continuously improve training programs and technical resources.  Enablement Owner for Competitive Intelligence - Working with the Product team to ensure we have all the relevant information on competitors and that it is readily available/consumable by the field.Collaborate across functions: Work closely with the product, marketing, and sales teams to align enablement initiatives with broader business objectives.  About You:You might be a fit for this role if you have:5+ years of experience in technical enablement, pre-sales, or a similar role involving both technical and customer-facing responsibilities.  Strong coding skills, with the ability to develop and maintain demo environments and hands-on labs.  A proven track record of successfully designing and implementing enablement programs that drive results (bonus for building programs for highly technical products).Familiarity with modern software delivery practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud technologies.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in simple terms.  Experience in managing enablement programs that drive measurable outcomes.  Proficiency with sales tools, learning management systems (LMS), and technical platforms.  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and solve complex problems.  Strong project management skills with a sense of ownership and accountability.  Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content.LocationThis role will be based in our San Francisco, CA officesWhat You Will Have at HarnessCompetitive compensationComprehensive healthcare benefitsFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off and Parental LeaveMonthly, quarterly, and annual social and team-building eventsRecharge & Reset ProgramMonthly internet reimbursementCommuter benefitsThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  The compensation package for this position also includes a commission/variable component, which is based on performance, plus equity, and benefits.
