The Purchasing Agent will manage the procurement of goods and ensure that all procurement activities are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role will collaborate with cross-functional departments to determine material needs, identify suppliers, and negotiate purchasing contracts.

What will I do?
- Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
- Interview vendors and visit suppliers' facilities to learn about products, services and pricing
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
- Verify purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products
- Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Authorize payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories
