Front-Line Leader – Assembly– Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WA The Front-Line Leader in Assembly is responsible for supporting the assembly production area and supervisor to ensure policy, leadership, quality, on-time, and efficiency performance goals are met. This role works closely with assembly employees and collaborates with the day shift Supervisors and Front-Line Leaders for seamless continuation of activities and administrative support to reach production goals. This position is approximately 20% administrative with daily responsibilities that include production reports, maintenance, production logs, attendance logs, and other responsibilities as assigned. What You Will Do: Maintains organized and accurate records for the assembly department. Assigns tasks in collaboration with supervisor based on workflow and staffing availability. Assists the supervisor in various departmental duties including special projects and process improvements. Maintains a daily record of production, scrap, and rework. Assist team in performance of duties and troubleshooting equipment and processes to solve work problems. Ensures employees comply with standards and safety rules. Assists in identification and development of process improvements. Performs production work at any station as needed. Conducts quality audits as needed. Responsible for ordering supplies and monitoring production material levels. Responsible for inventory accuracy in assigned area, including cross-training assignments. Assist the facilitator/management team in developing associates to ensure consistent and efficient attainment of production schedules to optimum quality, productivity and cost levels. Enhance morale in the workplace and facilitate the interchange of production improvement ideas between other team leaders, team members, and company management. Interact closely with quality auditors, process engineers, scheduler, and other support staff to ensure optimum production flow regarding safety, quality, and quantity. Support other production areas as backup to other supervisors when needed. What You Need to Succeed: High school diploma or higher degree, preferred. 3+ years in manufacturing, with at least 2 years of experience in the assembly area, preferred. Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage both personal and team’s workload and to prioritize multiple tasks. Must be able to perform the functions of the positions in the department to which assigned. Available for overtime as needed. Ability to communicate effectively including both verbal and written English. Must have good listening skills and the ability to work effectively with team members. Must have basic math and reading skills. Prior experience and understanding of basic computer and software functions. Demonstrates knowledge of processes, parts, and safety requirements. Ability to operate a pallet jack. Commitment to follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly Attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints, production and technical drawings. Remains alert in a high-risk environment. Maintains schedule and tasks despite interruptions. Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noise occurs. The employee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes and forklifts can be used for these tasks. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress. They must be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact with others. They also must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material they read. The expected Base Hourly Range: $21.97 - $38.80. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Apply Today!
