Work with the driven and highly motivated team supporting the NBC Sports Group as an integral part of the One Platform Ad Sales team at NBCUniversal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for revenue goals, which include growing existing business as well as developing new business.
Generate demand and drive cross-platform revenue from new and existing accounts to meet and exceed annual sales goals
Responsible for managing agencies & client relationships through day-to-day contact
Develop monetizable, creative solutions for clients and ensure clients receive superior customer service
Be fluent in NBC Sports Linear, Digital and Social opportunities, collaborating with One Platform & key internal counterparts to drive NBCU portfolio revenue
Leverage audience targeting capabilities, streaming offerings and premium content to drive value for clients across full NBCU advertising ecosystem
Own and nurture key relationships with senior leaders/business owners at clients and agencies to garner marketplace intel
Gain understanding of constantly changing advertising/internet industries and business models
Work closely with Account Manager and Planning from proposal to post-analysis
Motivate and mentor support team by developing strong team alliance, creating a safe and inclusive workplace and prioritizing corp culture
5+ years of media sales experience, sports sales experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Travel and weekend, evening client entertainment is required for this role
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as client relation and organizational skills
Proven ability to work and analyze numeric data, alternate from detailed work to client interaction seamlessly, and build/maintain relationships at the senior level
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
Proven team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner and own highly complicated and intricate media and marketing programs from start to finish across client and agency leads.
Experience in structuring and selling multi-year deals a plus.

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Monday and Friday virtual; Tuesday - Thursday on-site.

Salary range: $95,000 - $170,000 + sales incentive commission eligible
