Position Overview:
We have an immediate need for an Interim Director of Finance will oversee all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring sound financial management and reporting. This role is crucial for maintaining our fiscal health and supporting our mission through effective budgetary and financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit finance and a collaborative spirit to work with our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Reporting:
Prepare and present monthly financial statements to the board and executive team, providing insights and recommendations. Audit Coordination:
Assist in the preparation for and coordination of annual audits and financial reviews. Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow and financial performance, making recommendations for improvement as needed. Team Leadership:
Supervise the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional development. Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary financial liaison for donors, funders, and external partners. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Strong understanding of nonprofit financial practices, budgeting, and reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Prior experience with EZ Fund Software
