The welding adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School, including classroom and lab environments.

Pay: $45.50 per classroom contact hour.
Schedule: Based on course schedule and availability. Typically contracts are for 8-week periods and require 6-8 hours per week. Instructors may teach more than one course based on availability and course schedule.

Major Responsibilities:
PROGRAM OPERATION:
- Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
- Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
- Submit requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
- Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance.
- Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).
- Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
- In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.
- Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

- Bachelor's degree directly related to the course's discipline
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught
- Two years of directly related work experience
2. Instructor has all of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught
- Five years of directly related work experience
3. Instructor has all of the following:
- Associate's Degree directly related to the course's discipline
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught
- Three years of directly related work experience
4. Instructor has all of the following:
- Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship Training Journeyman's card, held for at least 2 years
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught
5. Instructor has all of the following:
- Certified Welding Inspector credential
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught
- Two years of directly related work experience
6. Instructor has all of the following:
- Any specialized certifications required for the class being taught
- Five years of directly related work experience
7. Instructor has all of the following:
- Workplace Specialist License granted by the IDOE in Welding Technology
