What we need: We're seeking someone to join our Employee Communications Team who can help us expand and enhance our social media strategy, presence and reach across all platforms, specifically targeting the employee, prospective employee and community audiences. The Communications Specialist - Social Media will help develop robust content strategies that provide current employees with essential information, raise community awareness of Mohawk's employer value proposition and attract potential applicants to the organization; managing submitted content from receipt to posting with any necessary revisions; developing graphics or partnering with contractors to create custom visuals for the channel, optimizing reach and visibility of pages by leveraging the channel's advertising and paid content opportunities; identifying potential to leverage submitted content beyond social media to reach a broader audience; expanding the social media channels to include new locations and exploring additional platforms for reaching current and future employees. What you'll do: Assist in the development of short- and long-term strategies to improve key engagement metrics across all social channels managed by the Employee Communications team Brainstorm, solicit, create and deploy content for all social platforms and channels using our suite of tools, including a dedicated Mohawk mobile device. Build and maintain relationships with key partners across the organization to create pipelines for content and social media best practice sharing Perform daily community management in the form of reviewing and responding to (where appropriate) incoming DMs, questions, comments, shares, etc Maintain consistency, managing issues as they arise and minimizing disruptions to the channels and platforms we use Partner with the rest of the Employee Communications team to identify topics and content opportunities stemming from their projects and employee engagement and communication efforts Monitor and track incoming engagement and channel use data, ensuring our data-keeping is consistent and accurate, and leverage findings to make decisions that improve our social channels, content and strategies Dedicate time and energy to continuous learning and research of social media best practices within and outside of our industry, across all social use cases What you have: A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, English, fundraising, journalism, or similar At least two years of work experience in social media management, communications,content creation, public relations or related field What you're good at: Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals in written, oral and interpersonal form Staying organized and paying attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Creating content quickly, creatively and efficiently Taking ownership of a project or task, thinking outside of the box and creating solutions that drive results Connecting with and influencing employees, stakeholders and key partners at all levels, and building strong relationships Working autonomously as well as collaboratively Managing sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness, and professionalism Mohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
