Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. The Opportunity:
The Commercial Operations Senior Manager role is essential to building the operations of the Commercial Development function and contribute to the achievement of functional and enterprise goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is a very proficient and proactive operations lead with a strong understanding of commercial functions and launch preparation. This role will be work across the organization ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities, decision making and accountability functional goals and deliverables. They will be an integral member of the Commercial team and partner across function heads and business partners to establish clear strategy, design efficient plans and execute effective pull through. This role requires strong project management and execution, cross functional collaboration, strategic planning, the ability to thrive in ambiguity, and a passion to build for effective outcomes and impact for patients.
Understands commercial launch strategies, key stakeholders and interdependencies and works cross functionally to develop set priorities and execute against plans. Manages the integrated project plan and project assumptions (accounting for goals, key objectives, deliverables, risks) to enable accurate project, financial and portfolio analyses for business planning processes. Manages an efficient information flow within the functional teams and launch planning workstreams, and manage the preparation, review, editing and submission of project documents, presentations for internal advisory and governance meeting. Practice effective meeting and information management including, timely meeting agendas and minutes. Facilitates Commercial Development function meetings, follow up on action items, document meeting materials and decisions, and act as a primary contact for Commercial Development function related information. Develops and champion Commercial Development function's ways of working and plays a pivotal role in communications, making sure that the teams have access to accurate and timely information regarding program decisions, assumptions, expectations and timeline. Partners with the functional leads to ensure the team achieves and maintains a high-level of sustainable performance and encourage prioritization where teams are juggling multiple conflicting deliverables. Identify and resolve issues related to efficient and effective team operation. Recommends and implement opportunities for streamlining team and business processes. Leads onboarding new team members on functional structure, relevant stakeholders and commercial development resources. Executes and manage contracts, SOWs, and MSAs through partnership with Legal and Procurement. Liaison and timely respond to vendor/agency inquiries and payment in partnership with finance and procurement. Supports new programs and special projects as needed. Required Skills, Experience and Education:
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and be able to demonstrate the following:
B.A. or BSc. in Life Sciences with a MSc. or MBA a plus, and 3-5+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with at least 2 years of direct cross functional operations teams. Understanding of key commercial process, interdependencies, and regulations, coupled with strong proficiency in project management practices, tools, and methodology. Expertise in developing and managing project scope, deliverables, risk & resource requirements including, scheduling and timeline management. Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear, succinct, and timely communication and proven ability to foster important relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to simplify complex information and effectively interact across teams and functional partners. Proven track record of good decision making and exercising sound judgment. Experience using Project Management software to manage project timelines and resources (e.g., MS Project, SmartSheet, OfficeTimeline, and OnePager Pro etc.). Strong computer proficiency with MS Office suite, SharePoint and similar document archiving systems. Preferred Skills:
Experience in Oncology therapeutic area is preferrable. Prior experience with oncology launch. PMP (Project Management Professional) or other PM certification or equivalent is a plus.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000 to $187,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
