Job Title: Aerospace Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will inspect mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies during receiving, in-process, and final inspections. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and securing nonconforming parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, as well as submitting them to the Material Review Board (MRB) for disposition. You will also provide inspection feedback to suppliers and other internal departments to improve overall quality and assure compliance with Customer, Statutory, and Regulatory Agency regulations (FAA, EASA, ITAR, etc.). Responsibilities Inspect mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies during receiving, in-process, and final inspections. Identify, document, and secure nonconforming parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies, and submit them to the MRB for disposition. Provide inspection feedback to suppliers and internal departments to improve overall quality. Assure compliance with Customer, Statutory, and Regulatory Agency regulations (FAA, EASA, ITAR, etc.). Manage the Quality aspects of design activities at the system level, including development reviews, approving released documentation, validating Customer requirements, and overseeing qualification tests. Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) and generate/review documentation of FAI results in accordance with SAE AS9102. Support and complete Root Cause Corrective Action analysis and implementation of corrective actions (RCCA/CAPA). Maintain Quality Management System documentation. Support the timely completion and documentation of the Internal Audit Process. Focus on continuous improvement and consistently demonstrate good business judgment. Work effectively with all internal departments, customers, and Regulatory Agencies to exceed internal and external expectations for customer satisfaction. Work effectively with production to control priorities. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills Experience with AS9100 quality standards. Experience with QMS documentation. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred; if not, 10+ years in the Aviation/Aerospace Industry. Quality engineering for electronics. Additional Skills & Qualifications ARD Training completion to issue 8130's for Repair and Overhaul Work. DMIR Certification (Designated Manufacturer Inspection Representative). IA (Inspection Authorization). FAI (First Article Inspection) experience. IPC Soldering Certifications. AS91002. Supplier and customer interfacing. Circuit card testing. Previous DQR experience. Why Work Here?
