We are conducting a search for a Manager of Accounting. Indiaspora’s start-up culture and collaborative work environment will provide for significant growth opportunities.
The Manager of Accounting is a key staff member of the Indiaspora Team and will support the overall operations of the organization, including but not limited to accounting, human resources, and administrative responsibilities. Accounting experience is required.
This position is entirely remote in the United States. Overseas remote work is not permitted. US work authorization is required. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Must reside inside the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on management of full-cycle accounting including A/P, and recording bank deposits.
- Create and present monthly financial reports and analysis.
- Prepare and complete program financial statements per nonprofit requirements.
- Manage and track membership dues and revenue via QuickBooks Online.
- Oversee all records in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities.
- Manage company credit card issuance through Ramp, monthly reconciliation, and payment.
- Work closely with the Sr. VP of Operations and General Counsel to create annual budget and cost allocation plans.
- Support each department in preparing annual budgets in the context and support of the overall organizational direction.
- Manage Indiaspora contracts and insurance requirements with vendors and apply for and manage the process for obtaining required permits.
- Manage timekeeping process, prepare, and process bi-monthly payroll via ADP.
- Supporting the Sr. VP of Operations and General Counsel, managing all employee relations, payroll, and benefits.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years working experience in professional accounting, financial management, or equivalent fields.
- Accounting experience required.
- Very good time management skills, with the ability to pivot priorities.
- A high degree of organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential issues.
- High level of self-motivation with ability to manage priorities and work independently.
- Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects and ability to prioritize tasks.
Preferred:
- Degree or 3+ years of Accounting experience
- Experience working in a nonprofit or philanthropic organization.
Compensation & Benefits
This exciting career opportunity allows you to work with a passionate and thriving team. The salary range is $63,000-$72,000, and is commensurate with experience. Indiaspora also offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
