Sr. Cloud Engineer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Design and lead the implementation of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Oversee the deployment and maintenance of key Azure services.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Automate operational tasks like infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Ensure cloud security and adherence to industry standards.
Implement advanced monitoring solutions for high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application development teams to deliver robust cloud solutions.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves: 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering. Extensive hands-on experience with Azure (higher knowledge required). Proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly with Python. Could also be Powershell or Bash. Strong background in cloud security, including IAM, RBAC, MFA, and encryption strategies. Experience leading large-scale cloud migrations to Azure.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses: Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS). Experience in containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes (AKS/EKS). Experience in leading cloud transformation projects for large enterprises. Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks such as SOC 2. Strong understanding of cost management and cloud governance strategies.
