Chemix is seeking a highly motivated Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team in the development of innovative, small form-factor devices with a focus on low power consumption, mass/volume constraints, and advanced wireless communication technologies.

As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, prototyping, and optimizing embedded systems that integrate seamlessly hardware, firmware, and mechanical components in a robust manner. You will work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of embedded design, making impactful contributions to our fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop embedded systems with a focus on low power consumption, mass/volume constraints, and small form-factor. Create and optimize hardware and firmware for embedded devices, ensuring seamless integration and high performance. Design and implement flex and rigid PCB layouts, considering complex design constraints and cost-effectiveness. Develop and prototype wireless communication solutions, including NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 5G, to meet product requirements. Interface with our machine learning research staff, data engineers, and battery engineers to understand our use cases, and design and implement solutions. Drive the very fast-paced development and prototyping of new concepts, with a focus on delivering high-quality, manufacturable solutions. Evaluate and manage cost considerations throughout the development cycle, ensuring that designs are both innovative and cost-efficient. Maintain and enhance the performance and reliability of existing embedded systems, identifying and addressing areas for improvement. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices in embedded systems design. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development, alternatively, 5+ years of hands on experience in the industry working with Battery Management Systems. Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) Design. Proven track record in developing embedded systems, including hardware, firmware, and mechanical integration. Strong experience in designing low power, small form-factor devices with mass/volume constraints. Proficiency in flex and rigid PCB design, with a deep understanding of design for manufacturability. Experience in fast-paced development environments, with a focus on rapid prototyping and iteration. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and creatively overcome technical challenges. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Nice To Have:

Regulatory compliance experience in the auto industry (BMS focused). Mechanical design experience, particularly with MEMS, is highly desirable. Experience with ISM Band Communications and Sensor Deployment. Benefits
