We're seeking a Digital Marketing Director to continue to elevate our brand and connect with our amazing fan base! The Digital Marketing Director plays a vital role in driving the club's brand, fan engagement, and revenue growth through innovative and data-driven digital strategies. This role oversees the club's digital presence across all platforms, ensuring alignment with the club's overall objectives, alignment with ownership groups and Club President expectations, and fostering strong connections with fans and the community. The Digital Marketing Director is responsible for leading the USL Spokane marketing department and employees and must work collaboratively with all internal departments on a regular and consistent basis including ticketing, partnerships, game day, and merchandise. This role also manages all external vendor relationships and oversees agency work. Additionally, this position will be responsible for building and fostering ongoing positive relationships with corporate sponsors, community members, business partners, and USL Spokane Stakeholders, and for top level customer service in all interactions representing USL Spokane.

The Director of Digital Marketing must be able to work regular shifts during the week and heavy work on the weekends during home games. This position requires flexible hours, extended days, and evenings. This position must be located in Spokane and is an in-person role.
Prior experience in graphic design, proven track record of managing successful digital campaigns, leading teams, overseeing budgets, and strong public speaking and presentation skills are required.
Key or Essential Functions
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the duties listed below. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Digital Strategy Development
• Design, implement, oversee, and continually assess the success of the club's comprehensive digital marketing strategy to enhance brand awareness and fan engagement.
• Stay updated on trends in digital marketing, social media, and sports entertainment to leverage new opportunities.
Content Strategy and Management
• Develop a content calendar that aligns with the Zephyr FC and Velocity FC match schedules, promotions, and campaigns.
• Oversee creation of, and staff responsible for, multimedia content including graphics, videos, articles, etc. for websites, apps, and social media channels.
• Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across platforms.
• Manages and oversees the day-to-day execution of the USL Spokane organic social media across all platforms through the social media team.
o Manages and oversees the social media campaigns and strategies.
o Supports the Social Media staff in tracking community social media engagement and metrics for online content
Fan Engagement and Community Building
• Create digital experiences to grow and engage the club's fanbase in the community and in nationally.
• Oversee social media interactions and campaigns to foster a vibrant online community. Provide guidance and leadership to Social Media team to ensure consistent and quality social media content.
Performance Marketing and Revenue Generation
• Develop and execute targeted advertising campaigns to drive ticket sales, merchandise, purchases, and sponsorship ROI.
• Analyze campaign performance using KPIs such as engagement, conversions, and revenue impact.
• Collaborate with ticketing, merchandise, game day and partnership teams to integrate digital efforts into revenue strategies.
Analytics and Optimization
• Utilize data analytics tools to monitor the effectiveness of digital campaigns and strategies.
• Provide actionable insights to improve engagement, fan acquisition, and conversations.
• Produce regular performance reports for USL Spokane President and other department heads.
Team Leadership and Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team and support, including Social Media, Digital Media and Creative Content Manager.
• Set clear goals, provide professional development opportunities, and ensure high performance within the team.
• Identify creative staffing solutions, including the internship program, flexible hours staffing, and shifting of job functions, to accommodate for in season demands.
Vendor and Agency Management
• Works with vendors for development of creative content for advertising assets. Fully vets outside vendors and ensures each vendor practices business in alignment with expectations of USL Spokane including a commitment to diverse perspectives and deep understanding of the Spokane market.
Game Day
• This position must be able to work flexible hours which may include extended days, nights, weekends, holidays. This position must be able to work game days at One Spokane Stadium.
• Game day responsibilities may vary based upon departmental needs but may include:
o Work from the press box during home games to oversee live digital coverage and ensure real-time communication with internal departments.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries related to digital marketing and live coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, public relations, digital media or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in digital marketing, ideally in the sports, entertainment or media sectors.
• A combination or accumulation of applicable work-related experience and/or education may be recognized as sufficiently meeting the requirements based upon educational programs and specific experience.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background check including a motor vehicle report.
• Possess and maintain a current and valid driver's license and maintain legally required insurance.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Exempt position with a range of $85,000 - $104,000
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
- Unlimited vacation policy and 10 days sick leave annually (prorated first year of employment)
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance provided with a 75% employer contribution for employee premiums.
- 50% employer contribution for dependent/spouse medical, dental, and vision.
- Employer paid employee life insurance and AD&D.
