POSITION SUMMARY
The Daily Wire is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Director of Ad Operations to join our Ad Revenue team. As Director of Operations manager, you will help us build out the next phase of our ad tech stack and programmatic strategies that will support aggressive and sophisticated revenue strategies and goals across audio and digital platforms. You will work closely with the Sales, Pre Sales and Client Success to ensure delivery of ad campaigns and understanding of capabilities for Pre Sale pitches.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Collaboration
Partner with Sales leadership to think strategically about tools and technology needed to usher us into the next phase of audio and digital selling and work aggressively to implement them. Partner with Sales leadership to drive yield and inventory analysis on an ongoing basis. Partner with Sales Planning on the best ways to execute on inventory strategies. Partner with the technology team to identify and launch opportunities, in addition to identifying red flags and gaps.
Inventory and Campaign Management
Manage all audio and visual ad inventory, with the ability to see around corners and raise concerns as they come up. Traffic online audio and digital campaigns. Manage digital web and audio programmatic strategy and day-to-day operations. Make smart recommendations to balance direct-sold ads with programmatic, with user experience top of mind.
Reporting and Analytics
Partner with the Client Success team to prepare reports, metrics, and updates tracking the progress of all ad campaigns. Drive yield and inventory analysis with Sales leadership on an ongoing basis.
Other Duties as Assigned
Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Education
Bachelor's degree in applicable field preferred.
Demonstrated Skills/Abilities/Competencies
5-10+ years of experience in digital and audio ad operations role required
Significant exposure to and understanding of the digital/audio space
Significant understanding of ad tech space and vendors available to drive key priorities initiatives forward such as 1st party data targeting
Significant understanding of Google Ad Manager and ability to manage MCC preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and handle many tasks simultaneously
Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes a plus
Reports to: SVP of Ad Revenue
Start date: Immediate
Employment type: Full-time; Exempt
Compensation: Dependent upon experience
