Trusts and Estates Litigation Legal Assistant

Our client is seeking a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant with at least three years of experience to support attorneys specializing in probate litigation, trusts, and estate planning. The role involves creating, proofreading, and formatting litigation documents, as well as managing state and federal court e-filings and trial preparation. Responsibilities include maintaining attorney calendars, scheduling hearings and depositions, organizing exhibits and evidence, processing invoices, and ensuring accurate case management. The assistant will communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, adhering to firm policies while opening, maintaining, and closing matters.
Candidates should have a high school diploma, with an associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, and a Legal Secretary Certificate from an ABA-accredited school is advantageous. The ideal candidate is proficient in e-filing, Microsoft Office Suite, and litigation document formatting, with knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court procedures. Familiarity with probate and real estate litigation, NetDocs, and ProLaw is a plus. Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a team-oriented professional who works effectively and efficiently while managing multiple priorities and supporting three or more attorneys or paralegals.
