Job Summary The Labor Relations Director will be responsible for partnering with all levels of GAF leadership, Human Resources, and Legal to develop and execute strategies for ensuring positive labor relations at GAF. The Labor Relations Manager will oversee the coordination, administration, and management of all aspects of labor relations related to collective bargaining unit employees to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and federal and state employment regulations while providing consultation, training, and constructive conflict resolution for company leadership, union leadership, and bargaining unit employees. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a labor relations strategy by working with GAF leadership, Human Resources, and Legal to achieve business objectives and results. Facilitate communication between company leadership, operations leadership, union leadership, Human Resources, bargaining unit employees, and legal counsel on matters pertaining to bargaining unit employees and collective bargaining agreements. Represent GAF as chief spokesperson in collective bargaining negotiations for comprehensive collective bargaining agreements in multiple bargaining units. Promote collaborative labor relations with local unions consistent with the collective bargaining agreement and business objectives. Review and analyze collective bargaining agreements and personnel policies and procedures, developing recommended bargaining positions. Ensure compliance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Coach and counsel management and Human Resources on the interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements. Conduct investigations and facilitate the resolution of employee complaints and grievances. Assist with the preparation for and conducting of arbitration proceedings. Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws. Work with field Human Resources teams to maintain applicable Labor Relations metrics and prepare statistical reports. Develop and provide training for managers, supervisors, and HR professionals overseeing bargaining unit employees. Develop and manage a union avoidance strategy and plan for non-union plants. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience in Human Resources, business, or related field. 5+ years of demonstrated labor relations experience (grievance, contract administration, negotiations, and/or strategy accountabilities). 7 years of Human Resources experience. Direct experience with writing and interpreting collective bargaining agreements. Direct experience with handling and resolving grievance procedures. First chair / primary negotiating experience for union contract negotiations. Strong public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Travel Requirements:
Up to 30% Annual Salary Range:
