Mid-Level Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 4+ years of relevant experience, including government contracts, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) matters, and Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) work. The ideal candidate must possess a high level of academic achievement and excellent writing skills. Duties: Handle legal matters related to government contracts, including compliance, disputes, and contract negotiations. Provide legal support and advice on DCSA matters, including security clearances and compliance with DCSA requirements. Manage FOCI mitigation and compliance issues, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and guidelines. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and compliance reports. Conduct legal research and provide analysis on complex legal issues related to government contracts and national security. Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues, providing strategic counsel to mitigate risks and ensure compliance. Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop and implement legal strategies. Represent clients in administrative hearings and other legal proceedings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends. Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and effective communication. Requirements: 4+ years of relevant experience in government contracts, DCSA, and FOCI work. High level of academic achievement and strong writing skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic counsel. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active membership in the D.C. Bar or eligibility for admission.
