A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced civil litigation attorney to join its team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, particularly in insurance defense, construction defect, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, premises liability, and general civil litigation. This role requires a dedicated professional with a robust work ethic, excellent leadership, case management, communication, research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including insurance defense, construction defect, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, premises liability, and general civil litigation. Manage and prioritize a caseload of multiple cases simultaneously. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Take and defend depositions as lead counsel in seven-figure, multi-party cases, including party and expert depositions. Attend and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings. Engage in substantial law-and-motion practice, including oral arguments. Prepare for and serve as the first chair in trials. Maintain active communication with clients, informing them of case status and developments. Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable client outcomes. Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Active member of the California State Bar in good standing. 5-10 years of experience practicing civil litigation. Significant experience in insurance defense, construction defect, personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, premises liability, and general civil litigation. First chair trial experience is a plus. Proven experience taking and defending depositions as lead counsel in seven-figure, multi-party cases. Extensive experience with mediations, arbitrations, and substantial law-and-motion practice. Skills
