Front End Engineer, Prime Air

Come work on the Amazon Prime Air team! The ideal candidate will have experience using AWS to build server-less applications for workflow management and data processing. Experience with computer vision, data labeling, 3D simulation, machine learning, and aerospace systems is a plus. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf Key job responsibilities Drive design of hosting infrastructure and software implemention for streaming web applications used in data labeling workflows. A day in the life This role involves greenfield development, and ongoing maintenance activities. Expect some exciting new challenges in building infrastructure, and driving the quality necessary to reduce ongoing maintenance costs. You will work closely with SDEs who are driving the backend feature work, and supporting web application development to deliver those experiences to customers. About the team This team sits between algorithm developers and data labelers, making sure that the data needed for algorithm development makes a successful round trip through the annotation pipeline. Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience - 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience - Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react - Experience building scalable, distributed, front-end experiences Preferred Qualifications - 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience - Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
