An Application Analyst specializes in providing technical and functional support relating to various applications used in the organization including the EMR system and other system level software. This role requires a person with critical thinking, detail oriented as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The right candidate for this role will have an analytical approach and be able to match solutions for unique client business needs. This role requires a client centric focus to deliver prompt issue resolution, meet implementation timelines and target dates. You will be responsible for ensuring the system meets the needs of various stakeholders, as well as maintaining data integrity and security.

Job Duties:

•Lead implementations, upgrades, and technical support of applications. •Provide support to end users including clinical and support staff to triage and troubleshoot all application issues. •Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify possible solutions on how to resolve an issue. •Document issue triage, troubleshooting and resolution steps as troubleshooting progresses. •Assist with resolution of critical errors and unexpected down time, until the issue is resolved, and systems are completely functional. •Set up all users in all applications including Staff and Provider Profile accounts. Assign roles, groups, provision and deprovision licenses for all modules associated with the EMR system. •Complete all vendor subscription enrollment processes to ensure timely onboarding and offboarding of new and current associates. •Responsible for supporting peripheral and interfaced devices integrated with clinical software. Perform basic desktop and network troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and resolve applications and interface problems. •Participate in all EMR related testing. •Develop clear and concise documentation and instruction manuals for end users. •Stays current with technology through seminars, educational opportunities, certifications, etc. •Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings and discussions. •Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification: •Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or in a related field is required. •Must have minimum of 4 years of work experience in healthcare setting. •Must have minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. Must obtain eCW certification within 1 year of hire or already have completed certification at Swope. •Extensive understanding of healthcare data, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), Health Level 7 (HL7), HIRS systems and other healthcare-specific data standards and protocols. •Understanding of clinical workflows within an EMR required. Working in eClinicalWorks EMR system is a plus. •Technical knowledge of current systems software, operating systems, and PC protocols and standards, including Windows Active Directory •Experience with Microsoft products required. •Must be a self-motivated and self-starter. •Strong written and verbal communication skills. •Critical thinking and analytical thinking with Organizational skills is a must.

Position Summary

An Application Analyst specializes in troubleshooting and support of COTS and Saas applications. It is the Application Analyst's job to diagnose issues, provide training, and assist end users in the use and installation of Swope IT supported applications by performing the following duties:

Primary Functions

- Tier 2 application support through resolving application service requests, user provisioning, and end user training via phone or at any Swope Health facility in person. Supporting applications include {but not limited to): eClinicalWorks, Viztek (Konica Minolta), Magview, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), ProofPoint, Gerner eCare, etc.

- Assist with Swope's deployment of Microsoft's 0365 including Skype and other associated applications

- Assist in developing training materials for supported applications.

- Assist with resolution of critical errors and unexpected down time, until the issue is resolved and systems are completely functional.

- AssisUwork on Application projects.

- Analyze application problems, determine cause and initiates corrective actions.

- Performs basic desktop and network troubleshooting to isolate, diagnose, and resolve applications problems.

-Assist in the preparation, planning, and execution of software upgrades/updates.

- Provision EPCS {Electronic Proscribing Controlled Substances) for providers within eClinicalWorks.

-Activation/Termination of Providers in ScriptPro for the 3408 program.

- Responsible for supporting peripheral and interfaced devices using clinical software.

- Monitor clinical software to ensure proper use and security via reviewing eClinicalWorks Login Report and User Access Report.

- Provide eClinicalWorks training in the absences/unavailability of other trainers via WebEx.

- Develops clear and concise documentation and instruction manuals.

- Participates in internal user group.

- Stays current with technology through seminars, educational opportunities, certifications, etc.

- Participate in an on-call rotation.

- Works well as a teammate and as an individual contributor.

- Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

1. Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience in Information Technology field.

2. 2 years Customer Service experience in Information Technology.

Experience & Qualifications

- Knowledge of Office 365 and related Office products

- EMR (eClinicalWorks) experience in clinical setting

- Experience with PACS systems

- Experience with pharmacy order fulfillment systems

- Health/IT experience highly desirable
