This position is 6-months Contract-to-Hire with infrequent visits to our client's office in Irvine, CA (95% remote).
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and supporting enterprise systems, including Windows Server environments, VMware, AWS, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Citrix. Additionally, experience with single sign-on (SSO) solutions, preferably OKTA, is highly desirable. The role requires expertise in system administration, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration and Maintenance:
Administer, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (all versions).
Manage and optimize virtualized environments using VMware.
Oversee cloud-based infrastructure in AWS and Azure Active Directory.
Enterprise Tool Support:
Manage Microsoft 365 services, ensuring high availability and performance.
Implement, configure, and maintain single sign-on solutions, preferably with OKTA.
Administer and troubleshoot Citrix environments for application delivery and desktop virtualization.
Upgrades and Patch Management:
Plan and execute system upgrades and patches to maintain security and performance.
Conduct proactive monitoring and capacity planning for IT infrastructure.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Diagnose and resolve complex system and network issues promptly.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated IT support requests.
Document procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions in a knowledge base.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Expertise:
Proficient in managing Windows Server (all versions).
Strong experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure Active Directory.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and services.
Familiarity with single sign-on (SSO) solutions, preferably OKTA.
Proficiency with Citrix environments for application and desktop delivery.
Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration.
Demonstrated experience with enterprise-level IT tools and environments.
