Chinese Cantonese Interpreter Cincinnati and Northern KY areas Affordable Language Service is looking to add new bilingual and multilingual interpreters to our growing interpreter team. Job Description The job of Chinese Cantonese interpreter is to facilitate communication between two or more people who speak different languages. Interpreter Responsibilities Provide accurate, comprehensive and professional interpreting services per the national Code of Ethics Interpreting activity is performed in compliance with the IMIA Standards of Practice, National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care. Maintain professional standards of interpreting by attending continuing education trainings to maintain the highest standards for delivery of service. Affordable Language Services can help facilitate these trainings. Speak, read, and write fluently in ENGLISH and Chinese Cantonese Be dependable and professional Professional appearance Experience High School Diploma required or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred Capable of speaking English and at least one or more languages at a fluent level Experience in Medical, Legal and Educational terminology (preferred but not required) Capable of working in an All-Inclusive environment Required to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen Able to provide documentation of MMR/Varicella immunizations and current TB tests or Xrays Must have reliable transportation Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills Authorized to work in the United States Please call 513-745-0888, option 4 or go to www.affordablelanguageservices.com to apply.
