Responsibilities The Corporate Communications & Public Affairs Department of New York Blood Center Enterprises seeks a CC&PA Coordinator to manage and support all aspects of CC&PA projects and activities. NYBCe's Corporate Communications & Public Affairs (CC&PA) Department has three major areas of focus: Corporate Communications encompassing internal, external, and marketing communications, collateral, message creation, branding, and channel management (websites, pulse, social, email, marketing, video, newsletters, publications, etc.) Public affairs including spokesperson, media strategy and relations, events, public messaging (releases & talking points), press conferences, and stakeholder, corporate, community, government/elected officials, trade associations, and lobbying. Fundraising and sponsored programs. The ideal candidate is someone who takes the initiative, communicates effectively, and is always eager to help. Provide support for overall corporate communications projects, including assistance with writing and copyediting internal/external print and digital communications. Assist with ongoing content development and generation, ensuring appropriate style, and consistency. Managing projects to ensure deadlines are met, including time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, follow-up, budgeting, reporting/analysis, and tracking/monitoring procedures. Provide administrative support by assisting in scheduling and coordinating meetings, office-management duties, handling travel arrangements, organizing reports and documents, and similar duties. Assist with trade show/conference logistics, including handling travel arrangements, coordinating the shipping/receiving of marketing collateral, exhibit booths & signage, tracking guest lists, etc. Collaborate with internal clients and partners to establish project scope, strategy, and plan. Assist in managing creative production of print and digital marketing assets, graphic design, video production, and web development, from the initial concept to the finished product and execution. Manage communication-related documentation and maintain organized records. This position may require unrelated duties as requested. This position actively makes recommendations to improve organizational processes across business sectors. Any related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in a program of marketing, business, communications or another related field is highly preferred. Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job. Experience: 2 years experience in a business environment performing related functions. Any combination of education, training and experience that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job. 3 years of professional work experience in the areas mentioned above is highly desirable. Experience with Canva, WordPress, and SharePoint a bonus. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Excellent proofreading and copyediting skills. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) required. Creative and resourceful. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $65,370.00 p/yr.For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. Unless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greater Tri-State office locations.
