Description The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University seeks to hire up to five faculty members. We will consider faculty appointments at all academic ranks in tenure/tenure-track and non-tenure-track clinical, research, and teaching (CRT) faculty positions. Preferred Qualifications: Applicants should have a terminal degree in public health, population health sciences, policy, management, economics, medicine, nursing, or a related discipline. Individuals with strong methodological backgrounds, commitment to public health equity and fostering inclusive learning environments and demonstrated ability to mentor and teach graduate students in public health will be preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates who will contribute to well-established areas within our department, including cancer prevention and control, substance use disorders, mental health, maternal child health, implementation science, and quality improvement. Tenure-track/Tenured candidates at the advanced level are expected to have an extramurally funded research program, and junior candidates should have the promise of developing one. Exceptional teaching faculty are also encouraged to apply for CRT non-tenure-track positions. All faculty candidates regardless of track would be expected to teach in the department's Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science of Public Health (MSPH), and/or PhD programs. The mission of the Department of Health Policy and Management (HPM) is to advance knowledge about access, delivery, outcomes, and cost of health care to improve population health and promote health equity. The HPM Department is ranked 8th among the HPM departments nationally by US News and World Report and is a leader in innovative research and educational programs to train the next generation of scholars and professionals in health policy, health services research, and health care management. The HPM Department comprises 18 primary faculty members and over 25 adjunct faculty members affiliated with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Carter Center, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the Georgia Department of Public Health, and other leading health care organizations. HPM departmental faculty has nearly $30 million in extramural research funding from federal and nonfederal sources. The Department also has robust training programs that include more than 130 Master of Public Health students with concentrations in Policy and Management, ten Master of Science in Public Health students, and eleven Doctor of Philosophy students. The Rollins School of Public Health (RSPH) at Emory University employs over 200 faculty members and enrolls over 1,300 graduate students per year in its MPH, MSPH, and doctoral programs. RSPH is ranked 3rd in "Best Public Health Schools" by US News and World. RSPH enjoys impressive physical resources with state-of-the-art IT and classroom facilities, open spaces for collaboration and group work, dedicated student spaces, small seminar rooms, and large lecture halls. RSPH is located on the Emory University campus in Atlanta, Georgia, and is adjacent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Emory's Schools of Medicine and Nursing, and a number of laboratory and clinical facilities.
