Position: Federal Work Study Student - Center Assistant(Off Campus) Location: Girls, Inc. Nature of Duties: Under supervision, the Center Assistant will assist with preparation and teaching of age appropriate programs and curricula. Major Duties: Assist in preparation and teaching of research-based, age appropriate programs and curricula, using Girls, Inc. programming as the cornerstone of instruction Design and implement mission-related activities and events Serve as a role model for girls, staff and volunteers, maintain high level of professionalism and attention to quality in all aspects of program delivery and work in general Operate in accordance with Girls Inc's policies and procedures Utilize predefined lesson plans, develop lesson plans and facilitate programs daily in accordance with lesson plans Stay current on issues related to girls and children Work cooperatively with staff and supervisors Participate in staff meetings and conferences to share ideas, concerns, working collaboratively with other staff to meet agency and program goals Assist with reading and math tutoring Uphold and enforce center rules and safety regulations Perform other dueites as assigned Monitor the sign-in sheets for visitors Take temperature for all incoming visitors Provide customer services Minimum Qualifications: Be enrolled as a student at Columbus Technical College Completed a FAFSA and be identified as being eligible for federal aid Complete a Federal Work-Study Employment Application.
