Role Overview

We are looking for a generalist data analyst who can set the foundation for our analytics function. We have incredible product-market fit & demand across diverse customer profiles. We’re in need of someone with data rigor to drive key decision making across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the data & process foundation for product and general analytics at Harvey

  • Partner with Product, Exec Team, GTM, & Finance to create and maintain standard dashboards that measure business health

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business needs and formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables, and presentations

  • Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders

  • Partner with engineering to define data schemas, data models, and make technology decisions

  • Analyze and synthesize competitive dynamics and customer insights to highlight opportunities to improve our business

Qualifications

  • 3-9 years of experience in an analytics focused role - analytics engineer, data engineer or analyst / consultant with a strong engineering background

  • Expert at answering product questions & crafting narratives with data

  • Expert with SQL, dbt, Python, and other common analytics tools

  • Eager to move fast & drive impact — you’d rather build an imperfect data model quickly that is used by many people than a perfect data model that collects dust

  • Expertise at both defining the right metrics as well as diagnosing and understanding data inconsistencies

  • Strong communication with the ability to build meaningful stakeholder relationships

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous cross-functional projects across Product, GTM, and Finance

  • Big picture thinking while still delivering on the details

  • Experience in a B2B / commercial environment

  • This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use an in-person work model and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

Compensation

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $155,000 and $220,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program. Benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits (401k match up to 4%), and flexible PTO.
