Job Description

NOTE:

  1. Candidates need to be strategic thinkers and should have experience in multiple technology platforms.
  2. We need a (10+ years) Data Architect who is good with Data analytics and Data strategies and not a Big Data Architect.
  3. The Data Architect will not be involved in development practices.

Technical Reference Architectures for different types of data:
• Operational Data
• Master/Reference Data strategy/platforms
• Analytical Data

Enterprise Data Integration
Business Reference Architectures

Responsibilities:
• Works on establishing metadata management, data catalogs, data standards, and best practices for Master Data Management.
• Develops Data Governance, standards, roadmap, and architecture decisions.
• Develops standards, guidelines, processes, and expertise to consistently address recurring strategic enterprise master data issues such as data convergence, data standards, and data integration/synchronization.
• Defines data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure that the enterprise data is accurate, secure, and reliable.
• Identifies areas for data quality improvement.
• Engages with relevant internal parties and external vendors in best practice sharing and effective Master Data Management solution delivery.
• Provides data consultation on complex projects and acts as a top-level specialist.
• Ensures compliance with data architecture principles and standards for the various systems and components based on design patterns.
• Leads selection of preferred data management technologies.

Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of Distributed Architectures is required. Best practices at development cycles of an Agile methodology.
  2. Hands-on experience configuring and tuning Apache Hadoop CDH (Cloudera Distribution Hadoop) or Hortonworks distribution.
  3. Good practices, proactivity, and client-facing skills.
  4. Architectural understanding of the Big Data ecosystem.
