Job Responsibilities
As our Director of Finance, you will be responsible for supporting Ketone-IQ’s Finance Department through:
- Strategic Finance:
- Evaluate and enhance the current Operating Model for improved accuracy in financial forecasting.
- Run Month’s End budget and forecasting process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to a tight timeline for closing the books and sharing out updated forecast by the 15th of the month.
- Provide accurate reporting on a regular basis including LTV/Cohort Analysis and CAC insights.
- Create and improve channel/customer/product level profitability analysis & forecast to drive Commercial results.
- Provide timely financial recommendations for scenario analysis and business case evaluations.
- Finance Team Management:
- Foster a culture of financial excellence and continuous improvement by providing guidance, coaching, and support across the entire company.
- Assess current resources and progressively build, direct, and lead a Finance team.
- Financial Planning:
- Actively participate in the Sales and Operations planning process, providing trend analysis and financial expertise.
- Develop and implement strategies for financial planning and analysis that align with business objectives.
- Oversee cashflow outlook, ensuring an optimal Cash to Opex ratio to safeguard financial health.
- Risk Management
- Identify and communicate potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Establish and refine risk management protocols to enhance financial resilience.
- Accounting:
- Collaborate with Accounting to ensure proper GAAP treatment of expenses and expenditures.
- Maintain high Accounting integrity for effective audit preparation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Finance, FP&A, Financial Strategy, or similar experience in FMCG industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High energy and adaptability for a fast-paced startup environment.
- Background at a high-growth startup with extensive background modeling out both DTC and physical Retail builds.
- High business acumen with a focus on profitability (EBITDA).
- Proven experience managing and building financial Operating Models.
- Tech and data-savvy with expertise with Excel, Quickbooks, Power BI, ERP Systems, and other finance programs.
- Process-oriented with the ability to identify, define, and implement scalable processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
