Job Details Job Location: New Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 2 Year Degree Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.72 Hourly Travel Percentage: No Travel Required Job Shift: Day Description The Student Accounts Coordinator greets and handles the inquiries, registration needs and/or payments of students, parents and other visitors to the SFS offices and provides support services for the SFS team. The Coordinator manages the monthly payment plan and transactions associated with admissions deposits, and other miscellaneous payments. The Coordinator also assists in the processing of student refunds and responds to email inquiries from students and families. Duties and Responsibilities Manages the Monthly Payment Plan. Process plan enrollments, payments and inquiries. Responsible for maintaining payment plan accounts to ensure payments are accurate. Provide follow-up for delinquent accounts Manage the e-commerce platforms for any necessary adjustments, changes or additions. This includes posting payments for visiting students and admission deposits. Reconcile uploads to ensure accuracy Student Account payment processing and reconciliation. This includes taking payments from students, reviewing daily SFS postings, scanning checks to bank and bringing cash deposits to the Finance office, and assisting with any necessary reconciliation. Post various charges and payments to student accounts. Audit student accounts for refund processing, posting refunds as assigned. Upload Residential Life charge files. Process electronic forms (Dynamic Forms) - FERPA, Title IV Waivers Respond to general student financial services inquiries via walk-in traffic, the SFS email inbox and call center referrals. Send SFS communications (email blasts), via email/mail merge, as needed. Assist in student outreach efforts via phone, text and mailings Participate in recruitment and retention functions (new student orientations, registration nights, Admitted Student days, Open House, Move-In Day etc.) Qualifications Required Experience 1 to 3 years customer service experience, preferably in a higher education environment Minimum of Associate's Degree Attention to detail and basic computer skills Excellent public relations, oral and written communication and ability to communicate sensitive and/or complex information in a confidential and straightforward manner Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships within a diverse and inclusive environment Ability to work under pressure without direct supervision and to remain calm and professional in emotionally charged situations About Iona University/EEO language Founded in 1940, Iona University is a master's-granting private, Catholic, coeducational institution of learning in the tradition of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers.
