POSITION: The Cameron Student Support Services Program has an opening for 2 Math Tutors in our SSS Math Lab for the upcoming spring semester. Candidates must be available for at least 6, and up to 20 hours, per week. The SSS Math Lab is open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am - 12:00pm on Friday. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have at least sophomore classification and a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher. A minimum of grade of "B" or better is required in MATH 2215 or a minimum grade of "A" in MATH 1513, MATH 1413, or STAT 1513. Applicants must attach an unofficial transcript showing proof of completing one of the above courses with the application, a letter of interest for this position, and a current resume. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A GPA of 3.5 or higher, proven excellence in math-based coursework, math or sciences major. Background in statistics. Past tutoring or teaching experience.
