We’re looking for a Robotics Engineer (aka The Automation Architect) to design, develop, and implement robotic solutions that improve efficiency and unlock new possibilities.

As a Robotics Engineer at our client, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design custom robotic systems, integrate advanced technologies, and ensure high performance. Your work will be essential in creating robotic solutions that empower industries and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Develop Robotic Systems: Build and program robots tailored to specific applications, from manufacturing automation to precision tasks. You’ll oversee the full design process, ensuring systems meet functionality and performance requirements.
  2. Implement Control Systems and Algorithms: Develop control algorithms and software to ensure smooth and precise operation of robotic systems. You’ll program movement, task sequences, and behavior to match operational needs.
  3. Integrate Sensors and Vision Systems: Integrate sensors, cameras, and feedback systems to enhance robotic perception and adaptability. You’ll ensure robots can respond to environmental changes and perform tasks accurately.
  4. Test and Optimize Robotic Performance: Conduct extensive testing to evaluate and improve robot performance, reliability, and safety. You’ll troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and make continuous improvements for maximum efficiency.
  5. Collaborate on Project Planning and Design: Work closely with project managers, software engineers, and other team members to align on project objectives, timelines, and milestones. You’ll help transform ideas into functional, production-ready robots.
  6. Stay Updated on Robotics Trends and Technologies: Keep up with advancements in robotics, automation, and AI to bring the latest innovations to your designs. You’ll evaluate new technologies and suggest improvements to maintain cutting-edge capabilities.
  7. Document Designs and Processes: Maintain comprehensive documentation of robot designs, software, and testing procedures. You’ll ensure that each project has clear records for reference and troubleshooting.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Robotics and Mechanical Engineering Expertise: Proficiency in designing and programming robots, with a deep understanding of mechanical systems and kinematics.
  • Control Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with control algorithms and techniques for robotic movement and task automation.
  • Programming Proficiency: Experience with programming like Python, C++, or ROS (Robot Operating System) for robot control and software integration.
  • Sensor and Vision Integration: Knowledge of sensor technologies (e.g., LIDAR, ultrasonic, cameras) and their integration into robotic systems for enhanced functionality.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot, analyze performance data, and implement improvements to optimize robotic systems.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in robotics engineering may be considered.
  • Relevant certifications or training in robotics, AI, or machine vision are advantageous.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in robotics engineering or automation, with a proven track record of designing and implementing robotic systems.
  • Experience with robotic frameworks such as ROS, OpenCV, or MATLAB is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for robotic design and 3D modeling is a plus.
