After your background check comes back ok you can contact the school directly to let them know you are willing to substitute for them. If you want a permanent position, let the Secretary and Principals know, that when a position comes available, you are interested in doing it permanently. The principals at the schools hire GDA's directly. Time and Pay 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours/day) $13.00 an hour for Substitutes Description of Duties Assist in the control and care of students in classrooms, halls, lunchrooms, and playground Example of Duties Monitor students behavior in halls, lunchrooms and playground; performs all necessary duties to aide children needing critical care; assists children eating lunch and performing necessary clean-up tasks. Performs related work requested or as required by supervisor.
