Job Summary:

The Manager, Solution Engineering is responsible for the testing planning, coordinate test projects, and execution throughout the testing project life cycle, including: the establishment of test environment, perform server-level, rack-level and cluster-level hardware performance testing, review and analyze tests logs, deploy clusters according to customer requirements(OS/software installation, OS/software configuration, network configuration etc.) and assignment of tasks to test engineers. Ensure the projects can be successfully completed on schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Develop Python or Shell scripts for convenience to setup MLPerf、SPEC and HPC testing environment to test server hardware.
• Write engineering documentation such as test-sop, test-procedures and design documents.
• Perform server configuration and system performance analysis.
• Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as Linux, Unix, and Windows
• Design, develop, and maintain benchmarking applications and tools for evaluating and measuring the performance of • • AI/ML/HPC systems within OpenShift/OpenStack environments.
• In house/on site server testing and deployment, software deployment and network deployment.
• Draft and maintain technical documentations including drawing/diagram
• Provide on-site software deployment/customer acceptance verification test
• Conduct comprehensive performance analysis, profiling, and optimization of AI/ML/HPC workloads on OpenShift/OpenStack clusters.
• Install HPC/AI test environment and build HPC/AI cluster for customer.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, production management) or equivalent work experience preferred
• 8+ years of proven experience in a production management role, preferably in server rack integration or related field is highly desirable
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
• In-depth knowledge of server rack testing processes, hardware debugging and hardware/software cluster deployment.
• 5+ years of Linux/networking debugging/testing or relevant experience preferred
• Proven record that includes 8+ years of experience in Intel/AMD-based servers, storage, HPC, networking etc.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
• Solid understanding of quality control principles and experience implementing quality management systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Salary Range

$137,000 - $151,000 

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
