What you'll do:
As part of our Digital Sales team, you will be leading the building and management of a dynamic group of Sales Executives in the central region, to drive our passion for innovation and collaboration. The main objectives are to develop a sales strategy that will achieve ongoing new business growth, build excitement about Nexxen, exceed yearly budget targets, develop a stable client base, and increase market share for the Company. You will build, share, implement, and manage the performance of an account plan to deliver maximum revenue potential with your extended team at Nexxen! This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop creative and innovative concepts for new business presentations to maximize sales opportunities (across all products) to key prospects, agency partners and end clients.
- Onboard, train and develop new hires for success at Nexxen.
- Support team in coordinating effective business pitches and encourage sales opportunities that exceed client expectations.
- Develop monthly goals to drive revenue for yourself and team members and report progress.
- Accurately report revenue forecasts against monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets with sound rationale and advertiser insights.
- Analyze weekly revenue reports and market research data to determine poor performance areas, entry into new markets and implement solutions to ensure targets are met.
- Create a quarterly sales plan that ensures Nexxen is a category leader in the region.
- Ensure effective communication to management on agency portfolios and major accounts.
- Understand major account competitors and their current media strategies.
- Maintain high profile and visibility with advertising agencies through regular involvement with industry functions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 12+ years experience managing relevant online advertising sales with proven ability to hit revenue targets and exceed goals.
- Record of setting sales strategy and bringing in new business in the central region of the U.S. in your most recent role(s).
- Established relationships with media agencies, partners and brands.
- Experience in forecasting, analytics, and budgeting.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and presentation skills (both written and oral).
- Superior client management skills with a track record of success.
- Local and National travel required; approximately 40% Local and 10% National.
- Accredited Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, related field, or equivalent work experience.
In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in Chicago is $180,000 - $250,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
