About the Role

As Chief of Staff at Anon, you'll work directly with the founders to drive operational excellence and strategic initiatives across the organization. This role combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution, giving you broad impact during a period of rapid growth. You'll build and optimize critical business functions while supporting the founders in scaling Anon's culture, team, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations & Planning

  • Drive company-wide goal-setting and strategic planning processes

  • Lead critical cross-functional initiatives from conception to implementation

  • Create and maintain dashboards for key business metrics and KPIs

  • Develop and implement scalable operational processes across functions

Financial & Business Operations

  • Own financial planning, reporting, and analysis

  • Manage expenses, payroll, and vendor relationships

  • Drive fundraising preparation and investor relations

  • Oversee legal and compliance requirements

Team & Culture Building

  • Support recruiting and hiring across all functions

  • Design and implement employee onboarding programs

  • Help scale company culture and internal communications

  • Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives

What We're Looking For

Technical Requirements

  • 3-6 years experience as a founder or early employee at high-growth startups; we will also consider top-tier management consulting or investment banking

  • Track record of building and scaling operational systems at early-stage companies

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities using modern tools

  • Expert proficiency with modern operations stack (Linear, Mixpanel, Notion, Google Sheets, Ashby)

  • Experience with AI tools, platforms, and developer ecosystems is a plus

  • Prior experience running strategic initiatives or 0->1 operations

Culture and Mindset

  • Builder mentality with examples of scaled systems, processes, or companies

  • Self-starter attitude with proven ability to identify and solve problems independently

  • Commitment to high-performance culture including nights and weekends when needed

  • Exceptional organizational skills with obsessive attention to detail

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication across technical and business contexts

  • Desire to work in a collaborative, in-person environment in San Francisco

Experience We Value

  • Founded or been an early employee (first 10) at a venture-backed startup

  • Led operations or chief of staff role at a high-growth technology company

  • Managed complex stakeholders including investors, board members, and executives

  • Built and scaled teams from <10 to 50+ people

  • Created operational systems that scaled through multiple funding rounds
