Per- Diem Dual-Trained Neurosurgeron

The Department of Neurosurgery is looking to recruit a per diem Neurosurgeon who can help cover general and endovascular call, along with our current faculty in the Department of Neurological Surgery. The per-diem neurosurgeon will perform consultations, admit patients to the hospital, perform emergent and urgent neurosurgical procedures, manage inpatient care when needed, and discharge neurosurgical patients. Rounds will be required when assigned on neurosurgical inpatients and consultations in the ICU. Must be willing to work days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: MD Degree and board eligible or board certified in Neurosurgery
Certifications/Licenses: Candidate must possess a valid NJ medical license, CDS, and DEA
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional teamwork, program development, teaching, and mentorship abilities are essential. Candidates will be expected to contribute to clinical and educational activities with an emphasis on mentoring students and trainees. Prospective applicants interested in basic research will also be granted protected time to develop lab interests and acquire extramural funding.
