What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Contribute to the development of next-generation autonomous vehicles across various platforms
- Lead the design and execution of AV system architectures for user trip states in ride-hailing and delivery services
- Develop and maintain I/O, data processing, and vehicle control nodes for hardware integration
- Create simulation tools for virtual product testing and validation by the remote workforce
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop critical features for autonomous vehicles
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of proven experience building, testing, and shipping production-quality software
- 5+ years of experience with modern C++
- Strong computer science fundamentals in object-oriented programming, scalable software systems, and algorithm design
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- Passion for building tools, frameworks, and libraries that simplify complex workflows
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience developing on and for autonomous vehicles, ROS, and embedded Linux
- Familiarity with automotive domains such as infotainment, telematics, and ADAS systems
- Experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash
- Knowledge of network protocols such as UDP, TCP/IP, and gRPC
- Understanding of column-oriented databases or data warehouses like BigQuery or RedShift
