Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week), Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working in the Horizon Wellness Clinics are responsible for the overall medical care of assigned individuals, including the service delivery of basic nursing assessments; delivery of client/family education and diagnostic procedures; consultation with physicians; and carrying out of doctor's orders.
Required Education and Experience
- The successful completion of a course of study that allows for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of VA is required.
- One year of experience providing nursing services as an LPN is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge of behavior modification; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); emergency interventions; family, group, and individual therapies; psychosocial education; risk assessments; sex offender treatment; substance abuse interventions; etc.
- Knowledge of community mental health and public health in order to provide advocacy and enhance an individual's treatment and access to community resources.
- Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holiday, etc.) as required.
Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver's license. May be called upon to travel to any Horizon worksite; transport clients, provide services to client @other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and Horizon meetings may require travel to a variety of Horizon sites.
