CY2024 Details: The Division of Pediatric Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the University of Utah Spencer F. Eccles School of Medicine has an opening for a Pediatric Pulmonary Physician with a focus in pediatric pulmonology. The pediatric pulmonologist will provide outpatient clinical pulmonary services and assist with inpatient pulmonary consultative services and shared call at Primary Children’s Hospital locations in Salt Lake City and Lehi, Utah, commensurate with other members of the division. In addition to clinical service, there is an expectation for academic work including teaching, investigation, and administration, as well as advocacy. Depending on experience, there may be opportunities for leadership responsibilities.

The Division consists of 9 Pulmonologists, 1 General Pediatrician, and 4 Advanced Practice Providers. The division has an AASM accredited sleep center, multidisciplinary sleep clinic, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation accredited center, fully functional pulmonary function lab, multidisciplinary aerodigestive program, and multidisciplinary technology-dependent patient program. The division provides comprehensive clinical services in pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, multidisciplinary management of airway disorders, and neuromuscular disorders. Academic affiliation with the University of Utah School of Medicine provides for teaching opportunities of pediatric fellows, residents, and medical students on a regular basis.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Pulmonology. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
