Remote Honeywell Programmer
specializing in
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, and supporting Honeywell building automation systems to optimize the performance, energy efficiency, and comfort of commercial and industrial facilities. This role requires expertise in Honeywell tools and platforms, along with a strong understanding of HVAC, energy management, and integration protocols. Need to be based in the US Key Responsibilities:
Programming and Configuration: Develop, test, and implement control strategies using Honeywell platforms (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Spyders, Alerton). Customize automation solutions based on project specifications and customer needs. Ensure all programming adheres to Honeywell standards and best practices.
System Design and Documentation: Collaborate with engineering teams to design control systems for HVAC, lighting, and energy management. Prepare system diagrams, point lists, and as-built documentation.
Remote Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed Honeywell BAS remotely. Diagnose and resolve issues related to communication, device functionality, and system performance.
Integration and Testing: Configure and integrate third-party devices using BACnet, Modbus, LON, or similar protocols. Perform virtual testing and commissioning of systems to ensure proper functionality before deployment.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates. Train end-users on system operations and address technical queries.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience programming Honeywell BAS platforms (e.g., Niagara, Spyders, Alerton). Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management, and building controls. Proficiency in integration protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and LON. Experience in remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Education and Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Honeywell certifications (e.g N4 Certifications) are highly desirable. Key Competencies:
