The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products. Identity Engineering delivers Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) including but not limited to: D+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Parks. Identity Engineering squads build and run high-traffic and globally replicated systems which form an integral and visible part of every consumer’s journey at Disney properties. As a Sr Manager, Software Engineering you will be responsible for leading the delivery of cloud technology solutions that will be deployed across the Identity Engineering organization. You will be empowered to set technical and architectural direction, and to influence the roadmap and structure of your fleets - working in partnership with your peers across Product, Project Management and Engineering. You will also be responsible for helping your leaders organize in a way that allows them to deliver against the Identity Engineering organization’s roadmap most effectively. You will lead and be part of an engaging, dynamic, and inclusive engineering organization, grounded in scrum and agile practices, with strong collaboration between squads, and motivated by a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. You will also help cultivate a culture that is focused on ensuring that guests, consumers, and internal stakeholders have a fantastic experience when interacting with our squads. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of unification of telemetry, alerting, infrastructure, CI/CD, version control systems, and services.

Deliver on the vision of executives and the Principal Architecture Group (PAG).

Promote and support Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban.

Mentor engineering fleet leaders and their squad members to help them improve their technical ability and build their profile within and outside of the organization.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and articulate technical decisions and outcomes.

Basic Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of related work experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

Familiarity with DevOps methods of operation, at scale.

Proven track record of the successful delivery of new cloud infrastructure projects to a global user-base.

Experience with designing and operating globally resilient deployments.

Experienced leader of geolocated teams and third-party vendors.

Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kubernetes, Terraform, and infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices.

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $189,300 to $253,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
