INVESTMENT BANKING
Our division works on some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on a merger, providing financial solutions for an acquisition, or structuring an initial public offering, we handle projects that help clients at major milestones. We work with corporations, pension funds, financial sponsors, and governments and are a team of strong analytical thinkers, who have a passion for producing out-of-the-box ideas.
Team Overview
Goldman Sachs Financial Institutions Group provides advice and services to a range of financial institutions including banks, specialty finance companies, insurance companies, asset management firms, and financial technology companies. With professionals in offices around the world, the group provides the full range of Goldman Sachs' investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity and debt financings, financial restructurings, and risk management.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential Our Vice Presidents play an important role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, leading our advisory teams, and in structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions.
Skills And Experiences We Are Looking For
Strong academic record with either (i) MBA and 4+ years of investment banking experience OR (ii) Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of investment banking or equivalent experience required
Investment banking or equivalent experience required
Experience advising asset management firms, including but not limited to private equity general partnerships, private credit general partnerships, traditional asset managers, wealth managers, and/or Business Development Companies required
Experience with conducting business, financial, and legal due diligence; preparing marketing materials, RFPs, and structuring transactions required
Experience with buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing transactions required
2+ years’ experience in leading deal teams of analysts and associates
Experience of preparing and maintaining industry/company presentations and benchmarking materials and other process documents required
Experience with corporate finance and valuation analyses including DCF, LBO, merger modeling, comparable companies, precedent transactions etc. required
Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members required
Excellent communication (both verbal and written), multi-tasking, and time management skills required
Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail required
Personal integrity, initiative, and leadership qualities required
Capacity to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people and act as a point of contact required
Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$300,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
