Senior Associate, Structured Finance
is a core member of the team that evaluates, negotiates, and executes tax equity financing and tax credit transfer transactions for renewable energy projects. The Structured Finance team works closely with investors, tax credit buyers, third-party consultants, and internal business teams to efficiently execute financing transactions and support RWE's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has experience building financial models in the renewable energy sector, a problem-solving mindset to efficiently manage multiple priorities, and an ability to keep the "big picture" of RWE's best interests in mind. Responsibilities: Take a lead role in building and updating financial models for tax equity transactions and other financing arrangements. This includes working with various RWE business teams to obtain model inputs and assumptions. Take a lead role in managing investor diligence and working with external consultants as a key part of transaction execution. This includes working collaboratively across RWE business teams. Prepare internal and external presentation materials – assist in the preparation of various types of materials for internal and external stakeholders. Provide finance support to other teams related to Structured Finance modeling and assumptions. This includes quality control reviews and other ad-hoc support. Coach and develop junior team members on the Structured Finance team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or other analytical/quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a role with emphasis on building complex financial models. Exact experience requirement depends on whether the candidate has direct experience with tax equity financing. Knowledgeable of renewable energy project economics and related incentive systems. Modeling tax equity partnership flip structures, similar project finance modeling, or in a role with similar quantitative analytical requirements. Ability to work within tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to apply creative thinking to solve complex, interrelated problems. Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space. Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams. Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines. Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables. Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team. Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds. Responds well to direction, works well in a team environment, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable. Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts. This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations. Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time. Benefits offered:
